I use Ashampoo burning studio free, it's quite simple to use and it works fine.

The program can only burn video DVDs and Blu-rays from a VIDEO_TS (or similar) source folder. The only weak spot is movies (I think that could be fix by upgrading to the full commercial edition).

Back in the days I used to burn DVDs using ImgBurn.
