I spend some time recently looking at mercuryparadise website, made by an old-time member of this board Rien. I was just looking at his collection of bootlegs and it turns out there is a tape of Manchester 20/03/1974 and San Diego 16/12/1977. From what I see, he is a respected person with a lot of great stuff in his possession, so I see no reason not to believe it. Are there any other, confirmed in any way, bootlegs that are hidden from a public eye? From what I remember there is a tape of Manchester 79 made by Jim Jenkins.

(I don't want to pointing out Rien or any other person for not publishing the tapes. It's meant to be an explanatory thread)

If I remember rightly, the San Diego 77 tape that used to appear on trade lists back in the day was simply the 1977 BBC Session with audience noise dubbed onto it. Not sure about Manchester 74.

Probably that's true. It looks like Rien's website wasn't updated for a long time. But on the other hand, if the tape was in Rien's hands, he must have listened to what was on that tape. I'm confused.

On Queenlive.ca, it's stated that Manchester tapes from the Queen II tour are repackaged versions of the 10/30 show

I used to have that tape, but I remember it being (mis)labeled as Seattle 1977. Still fake though, although the actual concert was also on the tape.

I also remember seeing Cardiff Castle 1976 on a couple of 80s trade lists. I wonder what that really was.

Sounds interesting. I must say, it would be great to have those 4 shows from summer 76.

The Night Comes Down is in my top 10 favorite Queen songs, I so hope they release that.

Supposedly that’s the only performance documented that they even played that track.
