I sincerely don't intend to shade the efforts of bootLuca for kindly uploading this show (which is undoubtedly my favourite Queen bootleg ever) but there is a helluva lot of hiss in the background. Check out Freddie's spoken 'Save Me' introduction for an example.
I wanted to double check that my ears weren't deceiving me and I went back to what I consider to be the best version I have. There is no hiss present and it's night and day.
I uploaded a transfer of my 'Flash Alive' LP some years back which was quite nice but I screwed up the track numbers at the beginning of the show. I have since acquired a version of this show in FLAC which I consider to be the best version I have had the pleasure to hear. Again, it's a vinyl transfer but it's really nice. It's not split and it's just one file for each LP
I don't have the time to put a torrent together (I've forgotten how to do it anyway!) but I will happily provide this to anybody that wishes to work on it and make it available as a torrent on QZ.
What a corker of a show and it includes my favourite ever rendition of 'Save Me'. Just shout out and I'll get this to the chosen surrogate!
Best Wishes,
Keith.

P.S. I wonder where the master cassettes are now? I was led to believe that it might have been one of 'Big Dave's' (I may have the name wrong) that used to record a lot of shows in and around the London area back in the day. The recording is quite remarkable, give the acoustics of 'The Empire Pool' back in '80. I understand that 'Flash Alive' was a Japanese production and it came out shortly after the event so he obviously had contacts in the and of the rising sun.
