Well, is not his first material in 20 years really...he made 2 soundtracks for films, two singles (badger and diableries) and two albums co-wrote and produce with kerry ellis
Actually from the press released it's not programmed drums - it's John Micelli on drums.
I think it's fine. It's nice to see a fully solo Brian May track with vocals. And given that it *IS* a theme of sorts for the NASA New Horizions, I think it fits well enough.
I don´t love it, but I like it. And I believe I like it even more because of the fact of seeing Brian motivated and creating new music (I mean, SOLO music).
It´s a tragedy that we had to wait 20 years and I personally gave up, so this release is very welcome.
Best news would be that this was a 1st step for him to record a new album, but that assumption would be very optimistic at this stage.
As for the song itself: I´m pleased with the guitar work and mainly with the vocals. I´ve read different opinions saying it reminds of a TV show theme and I agree, as I find certain similarities with Star Fleet.
I love it, don’t see why is being bashed so much. I’d love to hear a new solo album from Dr. May. Also think his work with Kerry is hugely under appreciated. Golden Days is stunning in many ways !

I’d certainly be way more excited to see a tour of Kerry & Brian, or Brian solo, rather than Q&AL
I can't stand that chorus, New Horiiiiiiiiiizens.... Fucking dreadful!
As mentioned earlier, it's JSS and all of the yes men who Brian surrounds himself with who are the catalyst to the problem. He needs a good producer to tell him that the stuff he churns out these days is fucking horrendous! But I suppose that person would quickly get the sack. A pity.
