Hey everyone,
Whilst I was looking through my uncles old VHS transfers, I discovered this 1991, 50-minute re-broadcast of the Milton Keynes show. This is basically a much shorter version than the original 1983 broadcast. Sadly, it's not in stereo, so where did that stereo source come from?
Annoyingly, the reporter at the beginning states that Freddie died in December...

Thanks! Although, why is it in 352x576?

I’m honestly not sure why, but I could guess that when it was transferred to DVD 10+ years ago that it was something then. Unfortunately the original VHS tapes were dumped, so I couldn’t re-transfer them :(

Early DVD recorders tried to be like video recorders and had SEP, EP, SP, XP settings, with brief vague descriptions of what each setting was, so this was probably labeled as "VHS quality" but fit 4 hours onto the disc....
Chinwonder2 probably decided that because it was an EP video tape, and discs were not cheap, the quality didn't have to be perfect.
I did similar with home videos of the family back then, and now regret it.

Unfortunately it wasn’t me who recorded onto VHS or transferred to DVD, it was my aunt and uncle who did all those.
They likely recorded at LP or EP and then I know they used a DVD recorder to transfer them, and that’s what we have. Sadly, they no longer have the VHS tape, otherwise you’d have a better copy :)
