Haven't seen it mentioned here but Brian has a guest appearance on Rick Wakeman's Piano Odyssey. The track is Bohemian Rhapsody amd it is recorded with piano, orchestra and choir. I knew Brian was on tne track which is the last on the album but was very pleasantly surprised by the result.
I was expecting the usual red special but in fact the guitar solo part is played mainly by the orchestra, Brian is actually playing acoustic guitar and it sounds quite lovely.

I'm not a fan of the choir arrangement on the track but it's nice to hear Brian do something a little unexpected on a guest appearance.

A surprising treat.

I liked it. It's interesting. Thanks for having mentioned it, as that prompted me to look it up.
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.

Lovely arrangement. Classic Wakeman. Brian's rhythm bits have a Spanish tinge to them. And the runs near the end are just so distinctly him, even without the Red Special. Reminds me of his leads on Jealousy.

Thanks for the heads up! That was a nice rendition and Wakeman is a genius. So happy to see Brian back to roots with this type of innovative/creative collaboration. This and New Horizons are restoring my faith in him :-)

Well. That was great! It was just okay until the opera section then it moved to a completely different level, with some fantastic piano. Even sounded a bit like Disney's Fantasia soundtrack at one point towards the end. Thanks for sharing.

Rhythm bits remind me of Brian's solo on Innuendo before Steve Howe joins in.
