This has been on YouTube since 2006 but I haven't seen any mention of it on here or queenconcerts. This is the only upload of it. I'm not well versed in Mega/torrents

I know youtube's comment section should be avoided like the plague, but I found this amusing:
Song was writen about the "aids dar ages". It was intended to be on Innuendo album, but John was against it because it was too much unconfortable for Freddie. Fab song although, wish there is a proper Queen version for a future Box set?
Despite the incidental similarity with TATDOOL, I'd be surprised if there's a Queen version.

I had heard the John story before but way before I cared about documenting sources so I basically believed everything I read, haha :).
The way I heard/read it: Roger brought the song to the band and wanted Freddie to sing on it. John reportedly threatened to quit the band on the spot if Roger insisted on making Freddie sing it. He didn't want the melody to go to waste so he reused it for Days of our lives.
No sources, but that's what late 90's Internet lore taught me :).

What would be more surprising to see turn up, a Queen version of New Dark Ages or the fabled Don't Try So Hard video?

I wouldn't put it past that to be an exaggerated version of the case. At Gosport 1992, Roger explicitly states that it's about AIDS
