Adam Lambert would have fronted Queen even if Freddie was still alive

Freddie would have been 72 years old now, hes rocking days would have passed at least a decade ago.
Tina Turner who was known for her live energetic performances just like Freddie was, retired definitely at the age of 61, just because she couldn't keep performing at the level everybody was used to see her perform.
By the same pattern and knowing how Freddie felt about himself growing old and not wanting to look silly plus the fact that he was a man of leisure, all of that would have led him to retire from Queen.
Brian and Roger would have kept the band in limbo until Adam Lambert shows up in 2009 at American Idol. And the rest is history.
Meantime Freddie would have retired to Switzerland, just like Tina Turner did.

Queen would have split up in the 80's if Freddie was still alive.
We can all speculate

You are the perfect example that not everybody can speculate.

If he didn't get Aids they probably wouldn't have got together again in 1987.
The Miracle and Innuendo wouldn't have happened.
Freddie probably would have taken the role he was offered in "Time" when Cliff left the show, then who knows what else, more theatre roles, soundtrack work, opera stuff, movie cameos (all singers do movies at some point)?
Brian and Roger would have a couple of solo albums, toured with their respective bands and shared John Deacon between them in a custody arrangement when touring.
I want it all and Headlong would still released but as Brain solo songs, three singles from the "Brian May Solo album from and produced by Brian May" along with 'Driven by You' from the car advert.
The world would be spared the horror of hearing Freddies "delilah" and instead get an album of cover songs in 1988 from Freddie that include Tom Jones' Delilah and The Great Pretender.
He would duet with Aretha Franklin in the early 90's, as this was the style at the time.
Elton John would have still recived the crappy tacky painting as a christmas present from Freddie in 1991, but Freddie is alive to give it to him.
Freddie would die in a horrible fellatio related accident in 1996, and the timeline from there would probably match ours.
But the PHSCE school books wouldn't have a photo of Freddie on the page talking about Aids, instead it would be Kenny Everett.

Freddie would've been arrested in the restroom at Beverly Hills Park over a lewd act in 1996. Ultimately get outed and enjoy a new solo career.

It's not that Tina Turner just couldn't keep performing, she suffered a stroke as well cancer and other issues. Illness stopped her performing not just age.

Emrabt, in the spirit of all those morbid threads about Freddie's last months, could you please describe in more detail the horrible accident that killed Freddie in 1996? :D

Freddie always said they would all stay together until they dropped dead. I think if he was alive today he would still be with Queen and John Deacon would be in the band still.

Queen would have split in 1973 if it wasn't for me running to the shops to buy every copy of their debut album.
Don't thank me all at once, guys.

The Everett - Wheeler model of Quantum Physics states that somewhere, Queen are still going as the original 4 piece. Somewhere else, they all died at birth. Take your pick of the infinite spectrum of possibilities in between.
I'd say this reality is pretty good for being a Queen fan.
