Good question .... some of the, look like they were shot on film (Don't Stop me Now, I Want it All , AOBTD , WATC) so would look very nice in HD scans, the question is do they still have the original film rushes? I noticed some of Michael Jacksons videos are in HD on youtube and looking at the quality they seem to be HD film scans. DSMN was shown in the closing credits of the B.R. movie and the quality looked shoddy so I'm guessing they don't have film copy

Of the videos shot on film, QPL have almost certainly scanned any film rushes for possible HD versions. Obviously stuff like AKOM, they will have to redo the special effects which would be cost prohibitive.

Yeah good point - DSMN on the BR film looked terrible.
I mean - they MUST release a DVD collection this year surely. The previous ones (although nicely done at the time - cropping etc aside) are getting a bit elderly now.
Like the last Bowie DVD collection - 2002! Ridiculous!

They should remake all the Queen videos with Lambert. We can have them all on blu ray then.

I bet £3 that any future Queen DVD will include a compilation or performance from the film to cover for a song that has no accompanying visuals.

I recall Simon Lupton and Rhys Thomas had the idea to scan all the available tapes to HD. They did the new 'Barcelona' with different angles and footage and that came out very nice. Now it seems Lupton and Thomas are out of the Queen camp, so we will probaby see another crap release with a Paint pro cover from G. Brooks.
