Queen connection is slightly flimsy. But Walker -> Brel -> Bowie -> Queen?
At a push.

Only discovered Scott Walker last summer. Bought 5 album boxset from HMV for a tenner. The yellow cover one. What a voice! And my kind of eccentric, reclusive maniac...pop/rock stars have to be strange for me. Jim Morrison, Nick Drake to name a couple. Again, the latter I only discovered couple years ago. Went and bought his 3 studio albums. Sunday music really...but great. I do love Queen, as Roger said in that clip, it's like coming back to mother.

Scott Walker is one of my favorites too. His later work is great too (Tilt, The Drift, Bish Bosch, Soused). Amazing stuff.

Would you recommend Tilt? Read great reviews on it. It's a 'grower' apparently...can't think if it's the Soused or Drift album where someone is hitting a piece of meat in the studio? Saw it on a documentary recently.

That's The Drift. Tilt is amazing. But if you don't like Drift/Soused, it's more of the same. A bit more melodic though.

Many thanks. Gonna order Tilt. Read some reviews on Amazon saying to listen at night with earphones on for maximum scare
