On April 17, on the anniversary of Queen's first visit in 1975, the following will be re-released in Japan only:
CDs and SHM-CDs:
- Live Killers (2001 remaster)
- Live Magic(2001 remaster)
- Greatest Hits Karaoke
- On Fire Live at the Bowl
DVDs:
- Greatest Video Hits 1
- Greatest Video Hits 2
- On Fire Live at the Bowl
- Greatest Hits Karaoke
- Jewels (a Japan-only compilation that was previously CD-only)
The news release said the most notable release was Greatest Hits Karaoke because after its original run of 4700 CDs and 6000 DVDs, it went out of print and has been in high demand.
However, I think the bigger news is that the Jewels DVD will feature these music videos:
- I Was Born to Love You (made for this release)
- Too Much Love Will Kill You
- Let Me Live
- The Show Must Go On
- I'm Going Slightly Mad
There's no mention of a 5.1 surround mix for these newer music videos, though, whereas the Greats Video Hits 1 and 2 do mention that feature. But.. could it be on its way via a worldwide release?
Also, new to the Karaoke re-release:
- These Are the Days of Our Lives
- Heaven for Everyone
- A Winter's Tale
- I Was Born to Love You
So, maybe three more new music videos, but without vocals?
Ah, I screwed up. It turns out those Innuendo / Made in Heaven videos were available on the original releases of Jewels and Karaoke Hits. I had no idea. I would delete/edit the thread if I could.
Still, maybe there's something of interest to you that's been out of print for a while.

wrong, the Jewels DVD was published in 2004
Anyway, the Let Me Live video on Jewels wasn't the real video, it was a photo gallery, mainly from Wembley 86. And the GKH has the lyrics on the screen directly written
I wonder if the Live Magic version is the 'cassette' edit that the Japanese CDs seem to follow?
Dysan, I'm not sure what you mean all my Japanese releases of 'Live Magic' contain the normal CD version (with the 'full' versions of A Kind Of Magic, Hammer To Fall & Another One Bites The Dust), not the 'cassette' edit (or actually the original LP cut) of the album.
The original did, and a reissue I have (not sure of the year) did too. I prefer the cassette edits (it's how I first heard the album) and was pleased to get them on CD.
Although I'm sure there might be some Japanese versions that don't. Hence my question.

You've got an obsession with Live Magic cassette.
My obsession is with a Genesis compilation from ATTWT and Duke - I can't listen the tracks in a different order than this.
Unfortunately, Queen live catalogue is so limited that we couldn't afford too many idiosyncrasies.
Live Magic is me aged 10 right there in a little cassette case.
