Tim Staffell to return to Queen?

At the after show party after the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction of Def Leppard the main topic of the evening was the imminent return of Tim Staffell into the band for the upcoming live tours with Adam Lambert. In recent years the tour bass players were not a fixed part of the band and Roger and Brian want to move on from a continuing temporary arrangement. With Tim Staffell the post-Freddie band will be complete and the band will finally recognize the facts of life, i.e Freddie and John Deacon are history. For the fans Tim Staffel will be a great asset to the line-up because they can indulge their sentimental attachment to the past.

'Goodbye April Lady'.
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.

i don't see this because they didn't get managed to visit the same studio whilst recording the 2018-version of "doin' allright".

it's not the craziest april fool's day gag i've heard. however, i imagine tim would see it as a pity invite and relatively pointless given that virtually no one outside the queenzone and queenonline forums would really know who he was.

Oh you can be sure they'd milk the intro on stage every night. And every who was there just for the hits would misunderstand and go away and tell the chaps in the office that the original Queen bassist was playing - someone would ask 'what, John Deacon??' and they'd reply 'Yes I think that was his name' and it would get out of hand.

I think they're happy playing with a session player anyway. A yes man which I think is fair enough.
