During the Mad, Bad, and Dangerous tour proper (May/June 1990),Roger would introduce the song as being about a guy who killed himself. At Frankfurt, he says it's about a British journalist. Any idea who?
Robert Maxwell was a tabloid newspaper owner.

He ended up stealing from his employees rather than admitting his business was not working well.

Then one day he went out on a yacht and never returned.
I'm a long time queen fan from back in the late 70's. Favourite albums are Queen II and Blue Rock. Cheers to everyone from Melbourne, Aus.
Maxwell didn't die until November 1991.
You’re right. Thank you for pointing that out.

So I’ve miss read this song for some years.

Can anyone else answer this excellent question?
