Should Q+AL enter the Eurovision Song Contest?

Should Q+AL enter next year's Eurovision Song Contest? Lambert is perfect for it, as is the Queen brand. Plus they would have to write a new song. They could help bring the UK back to the top of Eurovision, where we belong. I'm sure everyone who thinks the movie was great will be behind this development. What do the good and wise folk of Queenzone think?

No. But you're right about AL. He should give it a go with a suitably silly song. None of this X-Factor style pop.

For which country?

WTF? Yeah sure, they could play I’m going slightly mad (the bonkers mix).

TBH that is exactly the sort of thing they should do.

Yep. Perfect platform for them. It honestly wouldn't surprise me.

Lambert is perfect Eurovision material.

No. Hell no ;-).
Bad enough that Brian and Roger ended up involved with Idol, but I don't want them to be involved with Eurovision.

Haha, kiss of death, no they don't need that and anyway it's all political, nothing to do with music.

Did you see or read about Madonna's performance....wtf was she on with her performance?

She sounded terrible.
This place used to be great, but now it is an absolute joke. For serious Queen discussion, please visit http://www.queenforum.net

I mean, she never could sing so it's not a surprise. Kudos to her for trying though. It just shows you that if any of these big stars went on X Factor style shows they'd not get far. Bowie, Elton, Madonna. Freddie is a strange one. Imagine young strangled lamb Bulsara having a pop at it.

Anyway, I'm sure RT would think Eurovision naff (I mean it is, but KNOWINGLY) but I reckon BM would jump at the chance if KE was offered a shot.

I don't know what it would even take for Britain to win even if they had one of their most famous exports like Queen (with Adam Lambert), Elton John and Paul McCartney. It's so political now which is a shame as Britain has produced some of the most successful musicians ever since the "pop" song was introduced in the 1950s.

Exactly. Not a hope in hell at the moment. Hence why it doesn't attract the high calibre of artist.

We need to do a system where as the rules state a song needs to have been first published after the previous September. Have a selection of like 10 songs, release them from that September onwards and see which one becomes the big hit across Europe. Then enter that into the competition. Other countries have done this and it works.

They could submit Brian's badger song. Ripe material for a classic Queen+ redo.

Give some cash to BM and RT and they will be there in a second
