Queen, the multi-award winning rock group announce the re-release of the band's back catalogue of recorded material (1973-1991)
Queen Productions Limited in association with Universal Music have taken the decision to abandon the usual practise of using band insiders or industry "legends" for this process and have hired the mysterious "CMI" for this career defining release.
With complete, unprecedented access to the tape archive of Queen as a band and also the archives of the individual band members - Freddie Mercury (vocals & piano), Brian May (guitar), Roger Taylor (Drums) and John Deacon (bass) - CMI has been given carte blanche to create an on-line archive of - literally - everything Queen committed to tape, as a band, in the studio.
Hundreds of hours of tapes have been digitally, meticulously transferred and restored in glorious high resolution and will be available to purchase in part or as a whole by the casual music listener after the perfect sounding version of Bohemian Rhapsody or the devoted, hard-core fan after a first listen to the long-rumored Hangman. It's all here.
Due for release in late 2020, fans will be able to create on-line lay lists, convert to MP3 for iPods ready for casual listening on or high quality blu-ray discs of the best available sound quality heard yet. The possibilities now are endless and, once again, Queen Reigns The World as leaders in recorded music archiving.
