Yep. That’s why he didn’t write anymore breakup songs after ‘85... I wish A Kind Of Magic had one, but Brian did great with Who Wants To Live Forever and John with One Year Of Love.
The Miracle suffered greatly from a heartbreak song... so needed Too Much Love Will Kill You. Innuendo has plenty of understandable emotions.

I know what you mean, but a break up song doth not an album make. Arguably Breakthru fits the bill lyrically but you know, it's not a weepy.
