I was messing around on Hybrid and made somewhat a smooth viewing experience of Chief Mouse's 16mm transfer and restoration to make the footage a bit newer with a constant frame rate of 60fps. Thank me later for that buttery viewing experience.

It looks smooth, but it is really out of sync.

Hm... not bad, but too "weird" for my personal taste. The fact that it looks like film, but moves like NTSC video. But this comes from a guy who absolutely hates HDR movies, so...

Sorry, but I don't like it. Lost details, out of sync… But nice try. Keep trying!

Loss of detail, out of sync, weird purplish glow over Freddie's hair. I'm not liking it.

Because upconverting 24fps to 60fps is less jerky than 50fps.

The original video is 25fps.
And with the method I suspect he used, it does not introduce jerky motion.
