Chevyman By the way, I for one, like your posts even though I don’t frequent this site and read everything. You are a passionate person and I totally respect that. Anyway, I hope Thor is doing well too.

Thanks ,Terri I get a little too passionate at times and forget Thor runs this thing and he has appointed noone to help him and we are all equal. He likes to put me back in line.I admit I like a man that takes control of a situation a man with balls.Yes I'm glad he is doing well something about being put to sleep scares me for anyone. He must be a bit like a cat and have 9 lives.Hes my favorite dude I guess even though I think he has the ability to make me really mad but it doesnt last long. He has a good personality.Thats enough about that i hear your a physical Therapist my niece is going to school for that.I never had the discipline for school i liked to goof around to much.My gf at that time was very smart though and she did my work for me .She must of really loved me.She also kept up with her studies and played basketball. So long ago.

KATY--- I try to purge my house and end up with more treasures/junk. I'm by no means a horder but like Freddie lots of exquisite clutter. :)

Rainbow, I had real tickets just because I'm old school and feel safer to have one in hand. I did throw it away...……..gasp. I'm in the process of purging my house of years of accumulated treasures/junk and that's the type of thing I don't keep anymore.
There were several VIP options available here in Nashville when they came and some were not that bad as far as price. Now VIP doesn't mean what it used to. You don't really get any more access to the band you just get to sit close and have a comfy place to hang before the show at least here. There was a like Platinum VIP package here that listed several items of merch that you got and other stuff but not meeting anyone backstage. If I'm going to pay the money for VIP I want to get more. Now remember this is Nashville/Music City VIP here could be different considering everyone passes through here at some point. Nashville I have learned is a very different animal when it comes to concerts than most places. I know that everyone who lives here are super protective of our celebrity residents and have been known to run the paps off if they tried to invade. The best way to explain is this. When Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban first had a baby the ONLY places she would go out with her child alone was here and in Australia but never in NYC or LA for obvious reasons. I've run into some so called "country" stars in like the hardware store. I was in an uber the other day that one of the winners of the top 10 of American Idol was in right before me. I couldn't tell you his name for anything. I'm just not very star struck to be honest. They are people with cool jobs. I bet it's hard not to get caught up in the fame and glamour even as a background player but I just never saw the appeal. Anyway, woah....off topic.....I once knew how to post pics on here and then I forgot. The coding to this site is so old I think they dinosaurs created it. Some coders would look at this entire site with complete bafflement because it's like looking at hieroglyphs and trying to figure them out. They seriously need to update just about the entire site. We use what we got I'm glad we have SOMETHING.

JB, I must have missed something. You got VIP tickets??? What do you get when you go that route? I did try to convince my friend to sit closer, but in the end I was happy with the seats we had. I'll bet VIP is wonderful.

Shilling, I was so happy to share my concert experience here. I'm glad to have this outlet. I can guarantee you that my non-Queen friends have heard about as much as they can tolerate at this point. I follow a lot of Freddie pages on FB, mostly for the pictures. But everyone is posting videos from the concerts they saw and I've just been wallowing in re-living the experience.
I went the day they went on sale and they were already sold out through the traditional ticketing sites. I had to explore StubHub etc.....the third party ones and that's where they get insane expensive.
Katydyd5 wrote:

Lsgp, I wasn't on the floor and that's why the tickets were affordable! I'm terrible at explaining the arena, but think of it this way: There is the floor, then the first set of risers. The club section where we were is just above that, and is small. Above our section was the nosebleed section that goes on forever to the roof. I don't like heights at all so I wouldn't even have considered that. I would have loved to have been on the floor but my friend and I felt that it was too expensive for us. I bought the tickets the day they went on sale. I think I had to put in the price range we wanted, and then lists of available seating came up. I had five minutes to decide to buy before the tickets were released and I had to start again. As it got closer to the concert I checked the price of our seats and I think they were going for around $300 then. The concert was sold out by the second day but there are sites where you can get scalped tickets. We did have to watch most of the action on the big screens, but the band was as tiny as I thought they would be. The music, was of course, HUGE!
Hi Perk! I’m glad you have a happy song stuck in your head! LOL!! :) I tried editing using the invisible edit button, but it just takes me to a new blank reply screen. And I have no clue how to delete double posts!! I wonder if it has to do with whether you have a PC or a Mac?! Inquiring minds want to know!!

And thanks for the funny meme!! Hahaha!! :)

we need to be able to like favorite our posts or whatever because I get on in random spurts and when I post and the pages as they are added get crazy. it took me months to read the first forum or wait I wanna say the second. Whatever the one was before this.

THOR AND LEE! I miss you guys I recently have come across a couple pics of Lee with Freddie just the two of them and wonder why I haven't seen them before. Okay everyone be kind and considerate. My favorite tidbit from the blog I was talking about is when Kash says Freddie had a bad habit of jumping in people's conversations. I do that! I'm always self conscious about it, it's not the best habit but knowing that Freddie did it I think we are ADHD soul mates lol. Though no one is going to call him on it they call ME on it but I'm nobody. Peter jumped in and said that is because Freddie thought what he had to say was the most important and it probably was :)

Lsgp, I had heard that clip before and must have read the same piece you did. I imagine there was a lot going on in his life and mind in 1986. I can't imagine the fear he was facing as he watched friends dying.

On another note, here's a clip where he's just angry, and with good reason. He was such a perfectionist this must have driven him nuts.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bdaOhF9SVf8&feature=share

Then again, I just looked at it and when he turns back to the piano, is there a tiny smile???

By the way, hopefully that link is live. Galileo told us that all you have to do to create a live link is take out the "s" after http. Usually that works.
Whoa! Thank you!! You mean all it takes is taking the “s” out? So I have stupidly and painstakingly have written everything down to then type in a new browser.....that was all a waste?? Wow Buaaaaaaahhhhh!!!!! Hahahaha hahahaha haha!! I’m so glad I can amuse my own self....teehehhheeehhhhee! Kicking myself in the butt, but happy to know I can save 6 minutes out of my life forever.

JB050, thanks for telling us about your concert experience!! How exciting to sit that close!!! I saw some of Brian’s posts and it seems like he’s really enjoying touring and performing.

Perk, living in Nashville must be really interesting especially if you love music.

Hello Delilah... No, I did not keep my first concert ticket. That would have been Cheap Trick in 1980. My first Queen concerts were in 2017. I had e-tickets for both of the shows that I printed out myself. I did however, save a copy of those tickets on my computer! I keep anything that seems like a souvenir.

JB050 and Lsgp03. Your concert experiences sound amazing. I would love to have been that close. Glad you had such a wonderful time.

Lsgp!! I love that you had that dream and got tickets and went!! That’s awesome!!!

Rainbow and HelloDelilah (I also hear the song when I see your screen name :/))

Thank you both!!!! It’s really fantastic to get to share and “talk” here. I liked how they had the seats set up so anyone on the sides really felt close and had great view. It’s so nice to that we are all the-living it together.

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend.

I’m also keeping the well wishes coming for Thor.

Re-living... not the living. Haahaaa.

JB, thanks for sharing your VIP experience. I really want to see that robe! Since you were so close did you take pictures during the concert? I'm always caught between wanting to take pictures and wanting to live in the moment. Actually, I think VIP would be worth it to me if they ever tour the US again.

Perk, I'm purging because I have so much that I don't need or use anymore. The bad thing is that when I create a space I almost immediately think of something I'd like to get to fill it right back up. For example, I got rid of a bunch of dishes in a china cabinet and thought, great, now I can start that collection of antique salt cellars I've always wanted. NO!!

Delilah, if the edit button took you to a new blank reply screen, try again. There are three options and two of them do give you that blank reply. The edit option is the one closest to the date/time on your post. When I tried it on my iPad where I couldn't see the little dashes I was talking about I still got to the edit screen if I just tapped very close to the time. The reason I left a blank box here yet again today was because I was trying to figure out a way to delete a post completely. Perk, you put up the attachment today, how did you do that?
