Sure, but it doesn't follow that it doesn't affect anyone in any real way, unlike, say, violence, or disease. I'm not 'speaking for everyone' if I say that clipping your fingernails is not fatal, even if I can only experience what it feels like to have *my* fingernails clipped.

In the case of someone misspelling the hypocorism of the first name of someone else, I can tell it doesn't affect anyone in any serious way. Sure, if you find any evidence to the contrary, I'll stand corrected.

Sorry, Sebastyian, but it does. Irritates the hell out of me, and I tune out after the second or third error. If I'm reading about The Beatles, I don't expect someone to say Jack Lennon.

Yeah, no. If that were the case, why was it never mentioned in Peter Hince’s or Peter Freestone’s books? Why would Brian have Freddie’s touring piano? Why would Roger have a statue of Freddie in his garden? Why would Freddie have written Soul-Brother to reassure Brian when he was doubting his place in the band during the Hot Space sessions, or made a compilation of every one of Brian’s solos? Why would Roger have been on his way to Garden Lodge when Freddie died? Why would Brian have written Freddie’s epitaph, or been in tears dedicating Freddie’s asteroid? Why would Jim Hutton have called Roger Freddie’s soulmate? Somebody isn’t telling the truth here, and I think it’s pretty evident who.

She was certainly referring to Brian and Roger. Not quite sure about them being desperate for attention and I suspect her insight might not differ that much from an average person actually, but it still tells you something about the impact films have. She clearly thinks the band hated Freddie and I think that's what many people got out from this film.

Misspelling Freddie is annoying as fuck, Seb I think it's time to accept you cannot always speak for everyone.

Yeah, Irritates the fuck out of me too. I think its odd that Sebbastyun doesn't think it's disrespectful to use the wrong names. Or recognise why it bugs people.
