You know what's going on" and the general theme of the song, (apart from its universal appeal) just seem to point to a crisis very prodimenent at the time the song was introduced to the public.

I do not think that Dave Clark thought about Aids and Freddie when he wrote Time
I think it's about DC knowing that his time was up before he turned into a scarecrow.
Aliens (who are actually the time lords from doctor who) put a rock star on trial for the crimes of earth.
The song is quite a lot like hammer to fall, in that it's about humans destroying the earth and time running out, unless we all work together.
The musical existed before Dave Clark was involved but he removed the doctor who related concepts and added more songs.
I think it was a reference to Freddie being told one too many times that his food was still cooking in the microwave. He did not need to be told what was going on. The TIMEer was working just fine. Jesus. How many times does this have to be explained?
And by "prodimenent" i mean "predominant". Jesus....
No no no Time was not about the Aids epidemic because other artists took part in the production as well as Freddie.

I explained in the post that the song could be about everything. However during 1986 onwards there is a doom feeling in Freddie's work ( in and out of Queen) that is hard to separate given the circumstances. Perhaps i read more into it, perhaps not.

It was written by Jeff Daniels so i highly doubt it's aids related.
And I'm not sure it can be about anything as we know why it was written and the Meaning for it in the musical.
