Can anyone "spot the tune" in Brian's solos on the current Q+AL tour? I don't think it's Last Horizon, but... something sounds very familiar about the slow, disembodied melody he's playing, but I can't place it. That isn't surprising, I'm not good at it, generally.
I remember in their first round of Q+AL tours when Neil Fairclough played Nevermore on the bass, and I just couldn't place that one either until someone else posted it.
So help please! Can you "spot the tune(s)"?

Apparently it's taken from Dvorak's New World Symphony 2nd Movement.

Hey, thank you - you're so right... https://youtu.be/hOX15agZ3-0?t=48 is where the most recognizable tune begins in Dvorak, and then right here https://youtu.be/nLLe-gFj0GA?t=153 in Brian's solo.
Kudos - and thanks!
Now to ponder the meaning in the message... LOL

If you're willing to sift through trolls and related nonsense, there's a link to Brian's blog where he mentions the piece and what it means to him.

The music was also part of a 'mix' tape for the crew of Apollo 11 during their voyage, at the insistence of Neil Armstrong. With its 50th anniversary, and all other 'cosmos' Brian related experiences, perhaps he read it in Neil's biography as well.

Good sleuthing.
Considering Brian just did a ton of research on Apollo 11, that would make sense. No doubt the piece is very near and dear to him.

I just finished his biography last night, so there wasn't much sleuthing needed;-)
