I seem to recall they started recording Bohemian Rhapsody on this day in 1975. I might be wrong.

Either way - enjoy the Elaine Paige version below from 1988. It's fucking nuts.

I decided to go with the video; based on your recommendation. It is nuts.
This is also a part of who Freddie was, I think. Would the Rock n' Roll Freddie overcome the Liza Minnelli loving Freddie when watching this?
This might actually be a valid interpretation.
Even if I don't like it.

Christ that video is even more hysterical (in a histrionic sense) than the album! Good find.

Yeah it does make you think - she's coming from a place not to dissimilar to you know who (AL)

(I'll also admit to actually liking her Queen covers album - It's certainly um interesting)

Fake news.

By the 22nd they'd already done a rough mix, and there's evidence of a 18th August session which already included it (under a working title).

The alleged 24th of August as the starting date is just one of the many mistakes that SOS article from October 1995 has.
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.

Fair enough.
SOS?

'Sound on Sound': A British magazine which usually publishes great content, but who really seemed to have dropped the ball with that 1995 article on 'Bo Rhap'.
