6. Hyde Park - Queen reportedly played at Marble Arch corner. You can go there by bus and leave the bus literally on the other side of the road at the corner.!
They played on a site called The Cockpit which is in the centre of the park not near Marble Arch.

The site was often used for events in the 60's and early 70's but hadn't been used by a band since The Stones played Hyde Park. Queen were the last band to play there. Later shows in the park have been on the current concert site near Park Lane
Thank you for the correction.

This is good map of Hyde Park. Now looking at this video I can see it (at 6:10, or 7:40):

So, to be more precise, was the stage at the location of Norwegian War Memorial?
Yes but I believe the War Memorial and Serpentine were in the very large back stage area.

If you look at photos from that day ( www.queenlive.ca ) you will notice that the stage is facing an area framed by trees and not the wide open space you'd expect.

Thank you for your help. So the stage was facing the North. Good to finally know when that stage was!

Awesome guys. Thanks. I've been looking into it as well, and there are of course rock history tours of London which can be specifically customised towards Queen etc. But pricey. Lots of into to go through here. Thanks heaps.
