Tattoo ideas

Hey guys, I've been thinking about getting a tattoo for a while now. Something that says who I am, as a person, the kind of person that has set goals and strives for them.

I was thinking about a plain 'Take the risk', but since I really love Queen, I was thinking about getting a lyric. Now I was thinking about:

"Like a tiger defying the laws of gravity"
"Defying the laws of gravity"
or "Burning through the sky"

I was wondering if there's anybody out there that has another, amazing Queen lyric for me as a suggestion. Or maybe even an example :-)

Why not find the sheet music for a lyric you really like and have it as an arm band around your left or right arm? Years ago I had the lyric "flying high again" from Ozzy wrapped around my left bicep. I found the sheet music and went to the tattoo artist and had it done... unfortunately years later I showed a co-worker and she noticed that the fucker put the tat on upside down. Just an idea... just make sure they put it on correctly!

^it'd take a sight reading musician to even read it. But that's pretty funny. Was it the vocal melody or the guitar part?

I remember a thread about a similar request for a 5 note motif someone wanted for a classy Bowie tattoo. Can't remember where it was. Suggestions flowed in with all the usual - 'ch ch ch changes', 'Ziggy Played Guitar', 'We can be Heroes'.


It absolutely slayed me when someone suggested 'SOUTH AMERICAAA!' from Dancing In The Street. Top lolz.

Any line from 'Let Me Entertain You' would be good. In fact, pretty much pick your favourite line from any Jazz track.

Failing that, just get a Joey Dunlop tattoo -- it will never go out of fashion. Coolest dude on the planet RIP.
