Black people reacting to Queen videos

Whats this all about? Every time I go and watch Queen on youtube im linked to a black guy reacting to a Queen video. Seems to be much more common since the movie. Havent black people heard of Queen before? Jesus.

Is this a guy who reacts to lots of different stuff who just happens to be black? Or a black guy trying to show how he reacts to stuff because he is black so reacts in a 'black' way?

I suspect the former.

Pretty well everyone is listening to Queen more now, not just black people. And there are a ton of white guys doing the "reacts" videos too.

Maybe the black guys just show up on people's feeds more because they have more likeable personalities, which has made them more popular.

I don't understand what the fun is in watching a video of some stranger reacting to something. Who cares.

Why do they do it?

The youtube algorithm. There are 3 things which help the channel - regularity of upload, audience retention and audience interaction. Plus many people suspect a 4th one, which "officially" doesn't exist - manual intervention in favor of minorities, e.g. if somebody accuses youtube of being racist, they promote black youtubers, if somebody accuses them of being anti-gay, they promote LGBTQ channels etc.

Reaction videos are easy to do - the main content, the video you "react to" is already done, so you don't have a problem with regularity, the "professional reactors" can "produce" several videos each day. Meaning they will get lots of views, and therefore make a lot of money, either using AdSense or (if the channel isn't in the Youtube Partner Program or the video gets copyright claimed or demonetized) using selling of merch, patreon etc.

So youtube wants to promote these "reactors", (mostly black but not ONLY black might I add), and since you're a Queen fan, you probably watched some Queen videos, that's why the algorithm suggests these videos for you.

Hey, some of us think it's beautiful to see someone's inner child when they have virgin ears to music you and I have heard a thousand times.

I tend to ignore them as they've lost their impact now that basically everyone has done them - especially the posh white people ones. Kind of like getting your FB feed filled up with the ice bucket challenge.

However there was one that was shared here a few months ago and it genuinely made me listen to Bo Rhap through fresh ears. It IS nuts. We tend to forget how far out some Queen songs are.

- But didn't AOBTD top black and funk charts back in 1980 ? . Surely some of this should have permeated down the years. Or does popular music not do that now?

Absolutely. People sitting in a house, watching people sitting in a house watching a video. These people are devoid of stimuli in their lives. Big Brother? Love Island? All these fuckers are being brainwashed into believing that this is entertainment worthy of their attention.

It's about time we trimmed the herd.

If we resorted to cannibalism - and maybe Jeffrrey Dahmer was, in fact, a visionary of sorts - we could start by ridding the planet of these bastards. Without them, our TV schedules could be filled with better dramas and documentaries that educate as opposed to programming that sucks the life out of people. We could then turn it on to the people in jail meaning we're spending much less on housing the baddies. When the jails are empty, we can then turn them in to care homes which will mean that the money being spent on the Prison Services goes to better use in caring for the elderly and sick. A bit of cleansing which, done the right way, would benefit society in a positive manner.

Whilst I agree with some of what you said. I have to disagree with cannibalism. Are you actually fucking serious?

I remember going to Q+PR in Brixton in 2005 and emerging from the underground station and being the only white guy around (first time that happened - I am from Iceland). Then at the concert itself I don't remember any black people there.

Rock music has usually been more popular with white people. There is a complex history behind this. I always remember the sweet story of Kurt Cobain being extremely happy the first time he met a black person who liked Nirvana.

Not swayed 100% either way at this early stage. With the planet struggling to sustain the ever growing numbers of people that still insist on breeding despite not having the financial stability to be able to actually **HAVE** children, we need to think about clearing some space, don't we? None of us wants to see our green and pleasant lands decimated by the mass sprawl of construction and I'm pretty sure we ain't gonna get a mezzanine floor installed on planet earth, therefore, we have to think about a plan.

Cannibalism **MAY** be part of the solution to the problem. Like anal sex - or marmite - you either love it or hate it as a thing........
