What do you mean? Last time I checked, A Night At The Opera, was an album, not a ship, but of course I could be wrong...

2005 has lossy dts surround (5.1) on the dvd and lossless pcm on the 2.0 (also on dvd) - 24/48 I believe. Only place to get lossless 5.1 is on the Blu-ray. I believe that one has 24/96 2.0 - not exactly easy to tell the difference between 24/48 and 24/96.

It’s also a little harder to tell the difference between lossy and lossless when listening in 5.1.

The DVD-A has lossless 5.1 MLP @ 24/96.
Two different mixes were available in 2001 and 2002, the first one withdrawn shortly after release.
Copies do crop up on eBay from time to time.

I'll go and look for the bluray, then, but I don't have enough Money at the moment, so it may take some time, unless I find a lossless surround mix somewhere else. But it still frostrates me that they wouldn't let me buy the 24-96 version of the 2011 remaster anywhere on the internet, just because I don't live in USA or Canada.

Or perhaps someone can obtain a copy of the pro studio master for you?

I have both, and the 2001 mix is definitely inferior. Muddy sounding, levels are wrong in many spots and occasionally extra bits pop up that weren’t originally in the master mix. Bohemian Rhapsody was the worst of the botch jobs.
Interesting bit though not realized by many: The ending of “Sweet Lady” on the 2001 version continues on from where the original version ended on a tape loop. The instrumental snippet on the selection menus for both the 2001 and 2002 releases replicates this un-looped ending!

I can take care of that for you on Thursday or Friday. I live in Canada.

That's very kind, thank you so much.

However, if anyone else can do it sooner, I'll say yes to that, but better later than never.

Thanks.

I’ll check with you if nobody else has gotten to it by then.

You could also give 7digital a try. They have ANATO on 24-bit/96kHz FLAC: https://us.7digital.com/artist/queen/release/a-night-at-the-opera-500897a5?f=20%2C19%2C12%2C16%2C17%2C9%2C2
They don't have a Danish store, though, but one of the European ones might work...

It doesn't. I've tried that before. They once had a eu-shop, that could sell to all countries in the EU, but it closed.

I'm not sure which of the DTS ANATO versions I have - I know I bought it immediately on release....I'll have to check. Does this make the 2001 a sought after, more valuable rarity?
