@Vocal Harmony : I never said John does not play bass i said the "Under Pressure" bass line must have came from John as the other three in Queen would not think up a bass line to invent a song. That was Johns thing.[/QUOTE]
"Who else would think up a bass line that doesn't play Bass apart from John".
That clearly says he doesn't play Bass. . .
You've re written it which kind f makes more sense and I agree, in part. However John wasn't the only person in Queen capable of playing and writing Bass lines and he wasn't always the person playing on some songs, although he was on this song.
@Vocal Harmony As Freddie explained when they are in the studio they tend to compose songs form there instruments so Fred composes from the piano, Brian from lead guitar and John from a bass perspective and Roger from the drums!
So John was responsible for the bass line on "Under Pressure" but they all went out to lunch and Deacy forgot the bass riff until Roger reminded Deacy how it went!
It is just that fucking idiot that changes its name all the time. Ignore.
Mooghead You are the fucking idiot so shut your trap.
No mooghead is right on this one. With that simple of a view on songwriting you definitely are the idiot. I remember viewing it that way. Aaah to be 12 again.
@Stick : Going by your reputation on here i would say Moog & Yourself are the same person i.e idiots who only come on here to slag people off.
At least i am contributing to this thread been a serious Queen fan.
Hahaha so your also one of those who thinks he can define what constitutes being a Queen fan. Still proving yourself to be just another idiot. And yeah, I slag people off when I feel like they deserve it. Point in case, you.
We all go through it. Surely a fan of a specific band is just like me??
When we find out they are not some people flip out and react against it. They either end up coming around to it and enjoying the fact we are all different, or get more and more twisted up and kick against it.
Or continue to hang out on the fan forums to pick up chicks like I do.
Stick: I come on here to contribute to the threads and learn along the way, not like you who comes on here to spoil and call people.
There is a big difference you know.
Come and see my massive Queen collection and then tell me i am not a Queen fan - idiot.

Yeah the story of John coming up with that Bass line is not new, and it has been talked about in this thread. No dispute there.
You're wrong about about who and how they wrote and from which instrument. Please explain how Roger wrote melodies on his brum kit. . . It's a well known fact Roger is multi instrumentalist who wrote most of his songs using a guitar.
Brian is a capable pianist and wrote on piano as well as guitar. Likewise John could play a few chords on a keyboard and was a proficient guitar player so wasn't stuck playing root notes on a Bass when he was writing. .
Freddie wrote on piano but could also play guitar and used it to write occasionally ( CLTCL ). So as a band their working methods weren't as you described.

Post some pictures. Genuine request!
Actually that's worthy of it's own thread - 'post your collection' for everyone to join in.
I would have posted a picture but everything i have is stored away from when we moved two years ago.
Would you get it all out to show someone you challenged to come around to see the size of it?
See what I've got. I've got hell of a lot.

You moved two years ago and haven't un packed your much loved Queen collection!
We moved 6 months ago. . . Within a couple of weeks new shelving built and CD's, Albums, DVD's, books and concert progress etc were all accessible. . .
Two questions. . . How does a genuine music lover put up with their music locked away for two years?
Is your collection a worn dog eared copy of Greatest Hits and nothing else?
