So does this imply the original take of the song was Bowie Freddie and Brian, and during the creative process Brian got the cut?

Not sure if we can tell that much. Brian's vocals may have been a guide / test of sorts, or simply wanted a small part rather than being a third voice.

Thx for the reply. It is one of the most interesting shares I've heard. I know there were tensions in the studio, which is expected when that many ego's walk in a room. Over the years I have heard Brian continued to hold a grudge w/ Bowie over something that happened when recoring together. That doesn't necessarily mean Under Pressure itself was the cause of the gripe, but it makes you wonder. Did Brian initially see himself as a vocalist on the track with the other two - and he got squeezed out. It's definately an amazing share.

Yep, this.

It was just a jam session at first. Anything's possible.

i'm wondering where the " pray to" part from "pray tomorrow" disappeared to?
