1) He was dropped by a major company and no major company was interested in him

At the end of the day, who cares what sales are? If you enjoy him and he is your favorite singer, you will support him. There are tons of worthy singers who aren't Freddie, hardly anyone is. Doesn't mean you are not successful or happy in your life. It isn't a competition although you always make it so. There are much lesser levels of success. There is hardly anyone at Freddie's level, so are they all losers? I guess so.

Pre Orders aren't included until shipped and I was talking about Freddie's streams, oh yeah there weren't any so comparing sales back in the 80's when that's all there were with artists sales now is pointless. It charted on the digital downloads and the physical CD's were delayed plus they aren't being sold until 1st Nov on Amazon & HMV so how do you work out how well it's doing yet?
Fact is he's gone indie so won't have huge chart success but that doesn't make it a failure, plenty of his fans are loving it and he'll tour once the whole album is out, how's that failure? How many bands are touring theaters and don't have huge chart hits, answer is plenty.
