Opinions about Queen have always differed wildly from person to person, and that’s not even considering the comments from the press. Some people believe them to be unparalleled by any other artists, while others think they should be in a garbage pile labeled “overrated artists”. Anyone have ideas on why opinions on Queen are so controversial?

Because they're different enough. That's a good thing. Better to have opposing opinions about something than none at all. You'll find the same variety of opinions about many bands and musicians though.

Opinions on Queen aren't controversial. But when you search for more extreme comments you will find them and they will stand out. Wherever people talk about stuff there are those fringe extremists. Doesnt make it controversial as a whole though.

Water is not wet. Something is wet when water sticks to it. Water can't stick to itself because water plus water is just water. Not wet.
