Thom Yorke about Queen

I heard a podcast with Thom the other day talking about Queen and Brian being an early inspiration. He said he even made his own guitar to be like Brian, but it was shit! :)

Nice to hear him being humble and talking like that. I think I'm so used to hearing him talk in riddles for 20 odd years and being evasive that is nice.

Still cross he gave all that money to those hippies though. I'm trying to get to work here!!

I was a massive Radiohead fan in the nineties and I remember Thom more than once dedicated Pop Is Dead to Freddie. At the time we thought he was being sarky.

I also remember a magazine interview where he said Queen 'weren't shite enough' to be prog. Not sure how much of a compliment that was :D

Yeah I paid for the Minidisc hack where they donated the money to Extinction Rebellion. Then last week they're terrorising our country's capital cityies being pains in the arse! I didn't donate my money to bring capital cities to a stand still.

But, a minor thing I suppose because I still got 18 hours of great out takes and early versions of songs. :)
