This might be too much too ask for, but for all you geniuses in the Live area, i would really like to know which songs performed on the third night in Paris 1979 stand out and are better preformed to their 2nd night counterparts. Yes I know the 2nd night is far superior, and there barely is anything from the 1st. Thank you all :)

Splitting hairs. Both shows are great, although Mercury isn't quite at his best.

And it's hard to do a real analysis without a decent sounding audience tape of the latter.

Of course he isn't for Brian worshippers. What you think about May butchering the BR solo lately in every second performance. Maybe I should start a thread about it.......

This post inspired me to watch this concert (1/3/79) again. Chinwonder2's channel.

The Real Wizard, I thought during this time, Freddie and his voice were in top shape? Why do you say he wasn't at his best? I thought in the early 80s was when Freddie wasn't at his best? Would appreciate your or anyone else's insight. Thanks! :)

Compare any version of Somebody to Love from early 79 to any version from 80-82. He's almost a completely different singer.

Never mind the audience tapes - just listen to Montreal 81 and Milton Keynes 82 to see how Mercury's voice is far better than on Live Killers. He evolved so much in that period.

Quiet. Grown-ups are speaking.

Why post on a Queen forum if you hate on two of its members with literally every post you make? It's clearly the only reason why you're here.

I pity you.

He does seem like a completely different singer. His voice became deeper, stronger and more aggressive/confident. His voice definitely changed in the early 80s along with his new look. I think I was thinking of the period of when he grew tired and wanted to venture out on his own before mid-80s (Live Aid).

No, in real life, not in the movie.

Why, do you think it was like the movie?! LOL

HelloDelilah, re:

Smoking, cocaine, vodka, Munich. Freddie's cocktail of choice.

He is a May worshipper. And as we know by now that May and Freddie did not like each other too much he is constantly putting Freddie down. I'd rather criticize 72-year-old men in masques fucking up not too hard solos all the time...

I thought they were great unless they showed their real faces with all the actions and harm they did to Queen and especially Freddie. Even a blind man could see how jealous of Freddie May is to this day. I do not hate them but i truely dislike May as he has become a sad old hippocrite trying to whitewash himself and constantly trying to rewrite Queen history. RT has become a guy who always says yes as long as there is enough $$ to be made. The have clearly become the Simmons/Stanley of Queen or whats left of Queen. With the difference that Simmons and Stanley dont deny that they are just in it for the money
