A discussion in another thread has just reminded me about this.
In September last year, John S Stuart spotted, on Brian's official YouTube channel, a soundtrack for the movie "Road Games" from 1981.
He wrote to me about it as he thought it was the Australian Brian May and not our Brian. We looked into it together, but many searches returned various results, most notably that IMDB lists it as the Australian composer's work, whilst Wiki (and Brian's official channel) listed it as Queen's BM.
I wrote to Brian about it, but never received a response.
Interestingly, the content has since been removed from his channel, but I'm not sure if this gives an answer, or whether it was removed for other reasons.
Online searches still give 50/50 results. Some YT vids say it's our Brian, some say the Australian BM.
Really weird that it would end up on our Brian's official channel though...unless he doesn't have control over the content and didn't know anything about it going "live" (or the ensuing confusion)
Does anyone know the movie, OST or anything about it?
I felt that if it had JSS stumped when he was still with us, then it was worth asking about.
The content of the e-mail I sent Brian was posted on this thread
As a side note, it's a pet peeve of mine when record shops put the Mad Max soundtracks under Queen lol.

It's the Australian Brian May, whoever was running the official channel at the time was mistaken.

That's pretty much what I thought at the time, but with so much conflicting info, felt it was worth the ask. A bit of a schoolboy error to make from his team, tbh.

Cheers. I've always wondered if they had control over this sort of thing. They should look to the more clued-up QZ folk ;)

How long ago was it on his site? Must've been left over from the early internet dark ages misinformation?

It was just over a year ago. September 2018.

Jeezus wept - have just checked his official channel again to make sure that "Road Games" has definitely been scrubbed. It has. BUT......six days ago, some of the soundtrack for "The Quest" (aka "The Go Kids") was uploaded. Wrong Brian, AGAIN. What are they playing at?
Are they having a laugh, just giving a nod to the other BM or just really, really fucked up?

Maybe all this time there has only been one Brian May and they are leaving clues.
