I really marvel at how quickly the POSUS and administration have backtracked emissions issues, and have wholly wanted to dismantle the EPA and blatantly disregard past policies, even trying to reintroduce asbestos (to sustain his Russian cronies' factories and vested interests)

Seems like we're in for hell of our own design.

Seems that many small things could attempt to hamper all this...

- utilizing mass transit (despite the crazies)
- stopping Sytrofoam
- petitioning makers of chip bags etc to utilize different packaging -those fucking things are everywhere and are often composed of multilayered aluminum and propylene... so unless you're collecting by the millions and sending to the few foundries that can strip and deconstruct em, they might as well be labeled haz waste...

On the smallest scale... is the impending doom and are the resultant forseeable species die offs, in any way avoidable?

Any thoughts?

Since we're essentially plebes to a larger superstructure that seems adamant in refusal...

Edited because my reply had no bearing on the subject. I don't understand why fizzy drinks still exist due to health and packaging.

Had no idea that fizzy drinks impact things. I've been supportive of fizzy drinks because their housing can typically be 90-100% recycled

Glass, aluminum, some plastics

Thank you for pointing this out to my until now ignorant ass.
i appreciate the new info and perspecTive and will look into it

Who woulda guessed that carbonated drinks have a carbon footprint???

I'm sick of global warming ... record cold in Chicago. We have over 10 ten inches of global warming. I've been sick of winter since before Halloween.
