Lampion for Freddie

Hey guys, the 24th of November is coming closer and closer and I have an idea planned for that day to remember Freddie. I’m going to let a huge lampion out in the sky with all of your names on it. I already posted this on my instagram a few weeks ago and I already have 500 names written down on the lampion. To my surprise it still looks a bit empty because I bought an XXL lampion. That’s why I’m also sharing it on here now so you can participate too, if you want. All you have to do is just write your name in the comments and I’ll write it on the lampion for Freddie. I think I have space for 500 names ;)

I’m going to record how it goes in the sky so if you want to see that on November 24, follow my instagram account @freddie_mrcry

(I accidentally posted this on the Queen + Adam Lambert topic so if you see it there, just ignore)

This place used to be great, but now it is an absolute joke. For serious Queen discussion, please visit http://www.queenforum.net

Aren't sky lanterns eventually and essentially flying trash?

If they've got wires, that too is very destructive to animals crossing paths with it.

No it’s natural material that’s not bad for nature. I specifically searched for a natural sky lantarn.

Was thinking the same thing.. some poor creature will eat the wire and die in pain...

Might be a badger.

Well I just wanted to do something nice for Freddie, but if you can’t appreciate it and only see the bad things in this idea then it’s not for you. I’m just going to focus on the ones who do appreciate it and want to participate.

They don't eat the wire. They trample on it or it gets a fragment wedged in a foot; leading to rot. Or it hooks a foot or ensnares a bird, duck, quail hell, maybe even the bird of prey that catches something stuck on the wire and so on.

Animals don't carry wire cutters
