All the photos here are taken from a new video featuring Zandra Rhodes' outfits which she made for Queen (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yj9S1p9NOi4).

Incredible photos - never seen them before.

They're almost certainly Rainbow 3-31-74 (can't imagine them being anything else).

Are the last two photos from the encore? When would the outfit change have otherwise occurred?

those are great, look similar to some photos we have, but it's nice to see something new

For the outfits, I’d assume things went like this:

Zandra Rhodes: Father To Son through Great King Rat
The black and white outfit in these photos: End of Great King Rat through the first part of KYA
Black with studs: KYA 2nd part through Liar
Floral jacket: See What A Fool I’ve Been

Budokan 5/1 seems to have had a similar outfit change during KYA

To me the last picture looks like a pose Freddie would've done during Big Spender and that was performed at the Rainbow that night.

Yeah they are incredible, I'm sure you're right about them being from the Rainbow, but a couple of questions/observations.

Some are taken from the stage, some are from the front looking at the stage. Are they taken by the same person? And are they all from the same concert?

Pretty sure they are.

Mercury's outfit was designed for the Rainbow show, so it certainly isn't from any of the earlier UK tour shows. There's a slight chance the photos could be from the following US tour, but I seriously doubt it.

Those last pics can't be from the encore because Brian used a strat after he broke a string during Liar (as heard during See What a Fool I've Been on the live album). Must have been during the main set at some point, unless the setlist on Queenlive.ca isn't correct.

He probably changed into it during Great King Rat and changed again during the drum solo of Keep Yourself Alive

Great photos! I’ve never seen the black and white outfit Freddie is wearing with the white pointed collar. Sorta looks like something a jester would wear.

Wonderful photos! The first two photos are very likely to be from Rainbow show. If we compare this:

with this:

Freddie's hair looks exactly the same and the cable from the mic is wrapped around the stick/stand in the same way.

I'm not sure about last 3 photos. Freddie certainly wore black costume until Liar. We can see him wearing it during Modern Times RnR, then they did Jailhouse Rock and Liar straight away without any wait, which can be heard on the 2014 release. Then they continued the show with Big Spender but if Brian was playing the rest of the show on Fender those last 3 photos cannot be from Rainbow because he is playing Red Special here. And according to a review of the show, during Great King Rat "Mercury returns after only a minute or so now dressed ENTIRELY in black. A t-shirt with a plunging V-NECK... " Here it is: http://www.queenconcerts.com/inc/newspaper/1974-03-31.jpg

My guess - 2 photos are from Rainbow, 3 photos from a different show.
