Aside from TSMGO, ML is definitely up there.

'Effort' implies a single line/phrase as opposed to a whole song. The last 'Still Around' of The Great Pretender is pretty special.

First . If picking a line or specific bit “I don’t want to die.....”.is about as emotive and powerful as it gets.
Third part is up there for best heavy rock vocal too.

I like the cut of your jib. In fact, Fred was great and maybe at his best in those mid tempo rockers like Play the Game, Save me, Flick of the Wrist, etc.

Play The Game is a good shout for sure.

The last line of innuendo, the opening line of Mustapha, “we can love forever” on who wants to live forever, and “don’t let me face my life alone” on save me are a few standouts.

In terms of who;e songs, in no order: Somebody to Love, the Show Must Go On, Mother Love, Teo Toriatte, and for only their second album, White Queen is very well-controlled and tastefully phrased.
