I was listening again to Killer Queen and realized that, halfway through, Freddie slips into an exaggerated accent -- almost a Cockney accent. Anyone know what that was about? Just having a laugh, or is there a story behind it?
He often messed about with Killer Queen as well as changing lyrics. I think he got quite bored playing that song but they had to play it as it was one of their biggest hits. It got to the point where it was dropped temporarily in South America 1981 while they were still doing the medley segment.
On the subject of this recording, I love the transition of Bohemian Rhapsody into Killer Queen. They didn't have to that guitar bust transition but they did and it certainly makes it more dramatic.

I've always liked it, they made the key change from one to the other a feature of the segue.
