Our stupid governor of Illinois, a Chicago democratic machine politician, shut down schools, restaurants, gyms, and bars (and banned gatherings of 50 or more people), but allowed the Illinois primary elections to be held today.
It does not matter that people will die, because Biden trounced that upstart Bernie, and that is exactly what the democratic machine wants.

I live in this Godforsaken Democratic controlled state (IL) that is being destroyed by yet another Governor, who could follow in the footsteps of several previous IL governors, who went on to manufacture license plates in our state penal institutions. When the state is controlled by the firmly entrenched Democratic machine that is Chicago, it is impossible to overthrow the dictatorship even if every person living outside Chicago would vote Republucan. Thus, the reason for the Electoral College - thank you founding fathers.

Nah, they're still finding new and creative ways to blame Obama. They're spreading a false narrative that he took six months to declare H1N1 a national emergency back in 2009. Whataboutism at its finest.
As for COVID-19, Republicans have predictably been a disgrace. They stood by while Trump called the "foreign virus" (his words from the Oval Office) a "hoax" as recently as last week, and only changed their tune when they realized denial was not going to stop the stock market from tailspinning.
They've still only run about 10,000 tests, while countries like Guatemala and Vietnam run as many tests daily.
475 dead in Italy today alone, and the US is following the exact same trajectory, just a few weeks behind. The UK slightly less so, but at least they have a public health care system.
Good luck to America - it's about to become a dumpster fire.
