The movie and Q+AL certainly helps these statistics. It sort of guarantees that my generation and the one below will continue to love Queen. If these didn't happen it sort of threatens the futuristic status of Queen.

Yep - if they want to make money on physical products artists have to go the extra mile now in offering something that appeals to (at least the die-hard) fans.
Vinyl has made a small comeback but streaming is exploding in popularity and Queen are doing incredibly well in this area (well before the movie came out).
They can make millions every year with all their catalogue just sitting on Spotify, Amazon music, Apple Music, so have no commercial reason to release anything that we want.
Hopefully this will change. We have had a few good things over the years but there is so much more they could do if they wanted.

Speaking of UK sales, does anyone know why BR The Soundtrack suddenly dropped out from the chart? It was in the Top 20 for ages, never dropped any lower and suddenly it was gone, with the Greatest Hits now climbing to no. 12. I suspect the band pulled it out?
