I grew up an Irish kid in a large English city, during the height of the 1970s troubles. I could tell you more about how us "Irish kids" were treated locally, during this time. I could even tell you how my father - along with other Irishman (of similar age) in our city was given full board an lodgings for 3 days as guests of West Midlands Serious Crime Squad.
These things - as well as my country's history and culture all are part of where I am in this world and why I am so proud of where I'm from. You wouldn't understand that, because you have no identity - national or otherwise and you just have no idea where you belong in this world.
