Probably the most well known progressive rock album. Some moments of greatness, especially on side one. Sometimes quite annoying, mainly side 2.

Mike Oldfield lived locally to where I live now not long after the release of this album. In fact his second album was named after a local hill which I have views of from where I live: Hergest Ridge.

I love Tubular Bells. In my opinion Tubular Bells 2 was an improvement but his real masterpiece was Ommadawn.
