Strange how, we can hear a song for years and initially we think "heard that before". This happened to me back in 2012. I was listening to the lead track on Green Day's "Tre" LP - the third of a 3-LP release. "Brutal Love" is a cracking tune (one of my own personal faves), and initially I thought it was just a simple case of. "Yep, that's it, got it". My conclusions (back in 2012) were: He (Billy Joe) must be a huge Sam Cooke fan. So mentally - at least - I thought, job done. But then, over the years - each time I hear the song I hear parts of the Shirelles "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" but the tempo is too fast, but I thought it's still there somewhere. Then I remembered this: so, there's definitely some elements of WYSLMT in there somewhere, and maybe a little of this: and maybe a little of this:

When I heard the first time the Green Day song, I expected to hear "when I hear that rock 'n' roll"
