Does anyone have some information of this picture, like where it was taken for example or who’s the guy sitting next to him? I can’t find anything on the internet.

** 3rd attempt of posting reply.

I think it is from when Freddie stayed in Dovedale
Towers Liverpool.

Never seen this before, the person is probably Mick Smith, but as it's only the back of his head it could be anybody.

I believe these pictures are all from same place, but I could be wrong.

So, Freddie is sitting there with a guitar, looking cool, hair a bit disheveled, slightly drunk (possibly), apartment probably smells of weed.....

Students haven't changed since the 1960s have they and yet each successive generation feels like they've reinvented society.... lol! It's a lovely pic though.

Hello all.

So these are a from a set of photos taken by Paul Humberstone. He was in a close circle of friends with Freddie in those college days and took these and a number of other shots in and around their student digs and in various gigs. Paul is a friend of my uncle and I accompanied him down to the Royal Albert Hall for the opening of the Freddie Photographic Exhibition back in '96.

There's a video of the opening night here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWp7300oDRc

Long before he sold the rights to the photos, I was able to have a good look through them and indeed my Uncle (also part of that London crew) made me a special birthday card (maybe 1992 or so..) with the same image above before it was sold and reproduced. It's still sitting on top of the shelf looking down on me as I type!

Paul did a piece for his local newspaper (North Yorkshire) recently where he recounted some of his memories of being with Freddie. That article is here: https://www.harrogateadvertiser.co.uk/news/harrogate-man-my-college-days-freddie-mercury-175350

He's a really nice guy and fancy being part of all that back in the swinging 60's!

Hope that answers the question.

How dare you come onto this messageboard with something actually interesting and inciteful?

You obviously do not know how it works around here.

Prepare for abuse and arseholes!

Haha Mooghead..

I’m a passive observer nowadays. Can’t be arsed with all of that anymore.
