John's playing is different compared to both the 11/19 reel-to-reel, and the official release

I think the camera angle on Roger is different also maybe watch for the same ish angles for the support band footage

It's not Rainbow - it's film instead of video tape, there are less angles, the lighting is different, and the big "Queen" logo is not seen behind the band.
The person who originally posted the footage on YouTube said it was broadcast on German TV (and he's hoarding 2-3 more minutes of it).
Little reason to doubt him.

We don't. All that Queenlive.ca says is that it's a German show, not specifically Hamburg (Although given that Lynyrd Skynyrd's set at Hamburg was caught on video, it's certainly plausible that Queen's set was caught too).

Although "Seems like there is more" is a pertinent guess. There is more, indeed.
Why do you think I am not smart? Seems a bit of an unnecessary comment to make.
Ignore the trolls. They are not here for reasoned dialogue.

We had a discussion about it two years ago. I don't think there's any reason to think it is from Hamburg.
And I was so completely off the mark then. The audio does not match any of the existing Rainbow material we have, and there are more than enough characteristics in the footage to identify it as a different show.
A TV station logo is blurred out, and there's no reason why a German station would broadcast footage from a British show a couple weeks prior. Two cameras were allowed to film for a few minutes, and off they went before the show even ended. Standard fare for the period.

Is it possible to let me know wich station that was ? That would make a reassurence quite simple I guess. On the other hand I have my presumtion about that.

No idea. You'd have to ask the person on YouTube who uploaded it to begin with.
Bayerischer Rundfunk.
.... and it's just short of four minutes of footage.
I´ve send them a request.
My guess it could be from "Szene 75" ( keep in mind that things were a little slower back then)
There is a Queen report in spring 75 listed exactly 4.00 minutes long. But it`s just a guess so far.

Quite possibly, Szene was a BR production.
Where did you find that listing?

Seems like he is a collector and a trader. Good luck hunting ;)
No reply from BR so far. I think they´ll make contact next week. If the information is faulty (date or place etc.) I will recieve nothing or a pseudo mail.
Let us know how you get on.
