But for the record - the primary reason why the next generation will think Freddie is a genius is because of that biopic you love so much.
^^agree with all the above, just one thing. . . .

Not far from where I live there is an Elton Street which leads to a cross roads with John Street. Does this mean that Elton John is in fact the biggest and most successful of them all including Freddie as he had to be recognised across two streets instead of one?

two roads? if we're using that as criteria, then the original Beatles Drummer (Pete Best) has had two roads named in his honour:
Pete Best Drive and Casbah Close.

and where does it stop?

how about stars who have Airports named after them?
John Wayne Airport, Los Angeles
George Best Belfast City Airport
Liverpool John Lennon Airport
Louis Armstrong International Airport, New Orleans

If we're going bigger than roads via Airports how about astroids? Both Freddie and Frank Zappa where honoured several years ago with astroids named after them.
ST16 wrote:At least Freddie is the only member in Queen to be honoured with a road named after him
and you do realise that quite a few on the list i posted, didn't have to die to get a road named after them? ...and most of those that were dead it didn't take almost 30yrs (like Freddie) for it to happen!
even an ex-Beatles drummer (from before they were famous) has TWO roads named after him!
point being (in the grand scheme of things) it all means nothing - except to those who HAVE TO live their life vicariously through the Ghost of Freddie Mercury.
ST16 wrote:i bet Brian May is so pissed off lol
why would it piss Brian off? that's a pretty vacuous thing to say.
FYI: Asteroid (52665) Brianmay, named after Brian May, Queen’s guitarist.

This is all very well, but having discussed roads etc when are you actually going to start talking about Peter Hince as the header on this thread suggests you will?

@Vocal harmony What has Peter Hince got to do with this thread?

If you don't understand the question about your own subject heading it's not my problem.

Vocal Harmony You are off your head. No one has mentioned Peter Hince.

Peter Hince (Ratty) - was Freddie's Roadie. Therefore he is 100% relevant to the title of this thread:
Freddie's Roadie

so now your memory is so piss-poor and your literary skills so lacking - that you can't even remember/read the title of the thread that YOU started?

get a grip, racist pig.

Gerry are you seriously that hateful and that stupid.

Your thread, your heading Freddie's Roadie. I was trying to have a bit of a joke with you "when are you going to start talking about Peter Hince".

you missed it completely. Was it out of choice, was it because you didn't understand the joke, was it because you were unaware of the mistake you made with the title, or was it that you saw what you'd done but chose your usual route of hit back because your simple intelligence won't allow you to accept that you can make a mistake but not have to resort to warfare to cover your tracks.

So you're back to name calling, reminds me of your second ever post to me. Youve come a long long way haven't you.
