On the "giginjapan" website it is mentioned that the Wardour label now released the master tape copy of Hammersmith 1979 and London 8-12-80.
Also, it says these shows were taped by Kinney Omoto.
Does anyone have any idea who this taper is and whether he recorded more Queen shows? Maybe shows not released yet?
Thanks in advance!

so, in your opinion, what would be the differences with HAMMERSMITH ODEON 1979 (wardour 307) and WEMBLEY ARENA 1980 1ST NIGHT (wardour 308) released together in december 2018?
for me, the fact that these concerts were released together in 2018, means that Wardour had already managed to get the masters 2 years ago, and now, releasing them together again, it means that they are nothing more than a copy of those already released, typical behavior of this label, nothing new.

Anyone else who has something helpful/useful to say?

As Luca says, they released them both in 2018.
Are you saying they have released them again?
I haven't seen a re-issue to date.

Yes, they released not so long ago the MASTER TAPE of Hammersmith Odeon - apparently : https://www.giginjapan.com/queen-hammersmith-odeon-1979-legendary-master-tapes/

in some occassions...in fact....in most....we'd remaster / revamp by thesedays technologies, the tapes which are in our possession. Collectable as well...considering the new artwork and cd designs.and as with all the Wardours releases...limited!!

And, is there any exciting new stuff to be expected in the near future? Maybe new sources/shows recently acquired?
