I'm sick and tired of this part of the site. It's pathetic as it's clear people have too much time on their hands by finding information that's negative or offensive written by strangers years ago and then arguing like school kids to prove what awful people they are.
If this is what you people like to do it then fine, do it. But I can't be bothered to comment on anything or even read anything on this part of the site anymore.
I used to really enjoy seeing what people had to say about the collaboration but now it's just turned into personal abuse being written against each other. If slagging and trolling people is what brings Queen fans the most time and pleasure then hallelujah!

Adamtopia is very kind, but it is much more about Adam and his hair and really silly things. And it is really, really intrusive. I do look there, because if there is anything important about Adam or QAL, it will be there. Also Cassie's posts about Adam's voice are enlightening. I scroll through the vast majority of things which can be posted 10 times for the exact same thing. It would drive some of the spam haters here crazy. That site puts SC to shame, as she doesn't compete with those ladies! I think for Queen fans that it probably isn't an alternative! I will say that it shows up the difference between nice fans and hater fans, but the content is entirely different.

I just watched the WATC corona virus video and it was just so heartfelt. Hard to make it work when everyone is in different parts of the world. They sounded awesome and Adam was amazing per usual!! I hope it raises lots of money for the virus needs.

Just one more reason to hate this fucking virus is that Lamebird makes his official recording debut rerecording a Queen song with hsi terrible vocals and doing his awful vocal yodelings at the end like he does live. I predicted that they rerecord old songs erasing Freddie. Worst thing I ever heard a a real shame. Good casue or not - they coud have donated money and spare us this mess

The opinions in the other QZ thread are nearly all negative, and yet only a few comments are from the so called "haters". Of the semi-approval responses, one defense of this charity effort in the "No Champions" topic conceded that "AL is over singing it a bit", while a defender of QAL called this version an "abomination".

I agree with Sealion. It would be foolish to think that anyone here, overt hater or not, would say anything positive about QAL. As far as over singing goes, Adam isn't Freddie, so he won't sing it like he does and you can't expect Adam to. I think it is wonderful that it sounds different. No one want a clone of another performer. Just different strokes for different folks. But the opinion on here is just a small fraction of what most people, other than overly invested Queen fans, feel about the song. Most casual QAL fans don't expect Adam to sing like Freddie, so they are much more easily pleased, since it was beautifully sung. Held out notes are part of what Adam does, something that the vast majority of singers can't do. They barely have the breath to sing the song, much less hold out long notes. Freddie had a tendency to chop the ends of phrases off, make them staccato ,which I don't care for as well. The singer sings it the way he wants to and many run out of breath by the end of a phrase so they have to chop it off. At QAL concerts fans get really excited when Adam does one of his over the top notes and want to see how long it can be held for. Now if that note was off key or something like that, there might be a problem. But Adam is hardly ever off pitch and being consistent is another thing Adam is known for. QAL and Adam fans love to hear him sing like that and to us, it isn't over singing. To each his own!
