Why not

Deacy = playing drums (One vision)
Freddie = playing the guitar (Crazy little thing called love)

He beat Roger in an armwrestling match. John had armwrestled Roger every day since he joined the band in February 1971 – a solid 14 ½ years – for the right to play drums. Roger beat John every day, except for this one day when John finally claimed himself the victor – and so John played drums.
