who do you think was a better song writter ? I think that Tim had some talent as a writter that could be compared to Freddie!! well he did write most of the songs that we heard on Queen 1 and also some other good songs like Polar bear, Silver salmon...etc.

and if i wanted to compare Tim's songs from the 70's to freddie's songs from the 80's i have to say that Tim was alot better!!

just my opinion...
that's enough about me, now, what do you think of me ?

Unless I'm mistaken, only 'Doing All Right' has a writing credit for Tim Staffel... not even by himself... he wrote it with Brian

LOL

Freddie of course, he wrote more songs for the Queen album.
Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?

I think that question is unfair. considering most people on this board just heard the songs Tim wrote for Smile, which are.

Earth
Doing Alright (with Brian)
Step on Me (with Brian)

Have you heard the songs Tim is writing now? New-age jazz shit. Why he has to play them at Queen conventions is beyond me Queen weren't exactly known for their new-age jazz shit were they.

Got it. Gullable Stepfords buy them, get them home, play them and place them at the back of their record collection and then pretend to like them at the next convention when Tim plays exactly the same set. I hear Tim's next venture is selling his nude statues of Winston Churchill at Thomas The Tank Engine conventions.
Guess who's back?

Who do you think is a better guitarist, Brian or Pete Malandrone? LOL

Ok some of Tim's songs are nice, but Freddie was 1000 times better

God bless this topic lol!! its fair and its not. . . . the only thing unfair is that Tim never got to "florette" his artistically rock 'n roll ablities thats why now he his leading his poetic lyrics into the jazz movement, a sober unchallenge genre of music which in the end all it needs is respect to make it exceptable, But yes Freddie not only took over and floretted with the particle foundations that Tim has left behind, he also broke musical boundaries, so big up to Freddie!! and to Tim and his wise low profile ego -> you're "doin alright" man! one lov!

We're still waiting for Tim's answer to BoRhap. Until then, Freddie wins by a landslide.

Okay, asking these questions looking for a who is better than who question is quite redundant on a Queen mb. Of course, most are gonna say Freddie. However it doesnt hurt the post boost up!

Give me the link to the Tim Staffel noticeboard, and I'll be sure to vote for Tim on there.

In sports people often use a very good expression when comparing tow sthletes:

"The results talk for themselves"

The same can be said about Freddie and Tim.
Not those are losers who fall, but those who don't stand up.
